Sturdy construction, good price and product
The steel construction will be a lifetime purchase. The scoop end easily pushes back even my very heavy, thick cuticles. However, be very careful of the blade end which does not feel sharp at all. I pushed on it too hard and cut my cuticle until it bled. This is the first time I had seen this product and did not know what I was doing. I write this just to warn others to be very careful with the blade end. Cuticle nippers are a better, more controlled way for me to trim off excess cuticle for me.

It does exactly what I need it to do - it's easy to hold
I bought this to give myself at-home gel manicures. It does exactly what I need it to do - it's easy to hold, and the cuticle pusher contours to my nail nicely and pushes EVERYTHING back for easy cutting. The only thing I've noticed is not to push TOO hard or the steel will scrape and bruise the nail, but that's just a matter of getting the technique down. Very happy with this item, my nails are looking lovely!

PLEASE READ: This is NOT a cuticle cutter, folks! That's why some of you have cut yourselves. Yikes! There are two different products offered for sale here. Both have a spoon on one end; but one tool has a square straight blunt edge, while the other has a pointed end shaped like a sail. I wouldn't know what to do with the former as I've never seen one even in a nail salon. But the latter tool (with a sail on one end) is the one I purchased to replace an old broken one whose handle was made of cheap plastic. I highly recommend this well-made replacement which did its job perfectly: Soak your hands in warm water for a few minutes, push back cuticles (spoon) and then scrape away the little pieces of cuticle that are stuck to the nail bed (sail). To properly and professionally CUT OFF the lifted cuticle you MUST use a spring-loaded cuticle cutter/nipper that is shaped like pliers. There are many offered for sail here on Amazon. Good luck!
